Skateboarding Injury: What should I do after getting injured?

02/28/2017

Getting injured in skateboarding is a common occurrence. Skateboarding is dangerous, and there is no way to completely protect yourself from injury. So, what to do after the injury?

First of all, you need to take care of your injury! If it is a small crack, go home, or to a physician where you can take aid. But if you are much injured and the bleeding is much or something even worse - do not be shy to ask for help from others. Courage and ignoring pain are good at war, but stupid in the city. Get help from others. Perhaps never skate alone or in a quiet place.Once again, you have to see how serious the injury is. My friend twice injured his right knee. And both times the knee ceased to hurt a week, and he could walk and ride a skateboard. But something happened to his knee, because of falling increased. My friend did an x-ray of the knee, and it turned out that he needed an operation after the first fall. But he made delay to go to the doctor. As a result, the leg took 3 months to heal, and he was not able to stand alone in a year. So if you got some kind of injury, please, take it seriously.

Follow all instructions of the doctor. If you need physiotherapy, then do it! If you need exercise, to do them! Your laziness and neglect will definitely harm you.If you have a minor injury, and you need to rest at home, try to find out the injury reason during that time. Injuries effect a specific or multiple parts of the body. To recover, you need special exercises. Check with your doctor what kind of exercise you do will be helpful for recovery.Once you have completed a course of rehabilitation and is ready to get back on skateboarding again, then consult your doctor before going out. You have to restrain yourself a bit. Do not start to perform complex tricks and don't rush.

It would be nice to find a large empty space for parking and gently go there. Do not rush, take breaks and rest often. Gradually begin with simple tricks, complicating them and returning to the skate park. Believe me, you need to spend some time to get used to skating again.

There is one more thing you can do to help return to skateboarding after injury - you can take time to study your mistakes. See videos on skateboarding, study the details of performing tricks, check every detail of various skateboarding tricks. It may seem that you are skateboarding when you can not do that, can lead to depression.

So, relax, follow the requirements of your doctor, do not rush, Spend time to completely heal and recover, and all will be well.
